Shapewear for a backless dressNo. A truly backless dress shows the NULAYER bodysuit's straps and back. We do not have a backless version yet. For a dress that is low-back rather than backless, read the second section before deciding.
Shapewear for a bodycon dressYes. Wear the thong cut, Black under a dark dress and Beige under a light one, straps set for your torso. A bodycon dress shows every edge, so the bonded edges and the thong back matter more than compression.
Shapewear for a satin slip dressYes. Wear the thong cut in the shade closest to your skin, straps set for your torso length. Satin shows every seam and line, so the bonded edges and the thong back are what make this work, not compression.
Shapewear for a sequin dressYes. Wear the thong cut, Black under most sequin dresses, straps set for your torso. Most sequin dresses are lined and heavier than satin, so they hide more; the bodysuit's job is the waist line and no panty line.
Shapewear for a strapless dressNo. The NULAYER bodysuit has shoulder straps, and under a strapless dress they show. Do not tuck them. We do not make a strapless or convertible version yet. Wear a strapless bra with a high-waisted smoothing brief or short instead.
Shapewear for a wrap dressYes. Either cut works. Set the straps so the bodysuit's deep V sits lower than the wrap's V; the waist tie then lands over the smoothed panel. The mid-thigh works here because the skirt falls loose from the hip.
Shapewear under a white or ivory dressYes, with one adjustment: Beige, never Black. Our Beige is a light beige, so under a very sheer white dress check it in daylight first. Thong under a clinging white dress; mid-thigh only under a loose skirt.
