What a bodycon dress shows
A bodycon dress is a stretch knit cut close to the body from bust to hem. It is more forgiving than satin because it has some weight and no shine, but it does the same thing at every edge: where a garment underneath starts or stops, the knit follows the step and shows it. The usual culprits are the top of a waistband, the leg line of a brief and the elastic of a bra band.
The NULAYER bodysuit is one piece from shoulder to crotch, so there is no waistband to start or stop. Its edges are bonded rather than stitched and lie flat under fitted clothes. The thong back removes the panty line, which is the line a bodycon dress shows most. The medium-firm panel smooths the midsection and waist without the hard edge you get where a firmer garment ends; under bodycon knit, that softer transition is the point.
The neckline, and the shade
Bodycon dresses come with a scoop, a square or a high neck, and each sits higher than a slip dress does. The bodysuit's deep V sits under low-cut dresses, so under a scoop or square neck you have room. Set the straps so the V's point is clearly below the neckline, then bend forward in the mirror: a strap set too short lifts the V into view when you lean across a table.
Shade goes by the dress, not by your skin, because a knit fitted this closely can shadow what is under it. Black under black, navy or any deep colour. The sit test
Put the dress on over the bodysuit at home, with the shoes on, and sit down for five minutes. Then stand and look at the hip and the waist from the side. A bodycon dress will show a garment that has ridden up or rolled at the top edge. If anything has moved, the straps are set too short or the size is one band too small. If you are at the top of a band, go one up: a bodysuit you can sit and eat in is the one that stays smooth through a long evening. Under a bodycon you will sit, stand, and queue for the bathroom; the hook-and-eye crotch closure means the dress stays on for all three.
Which size: Size by bust and waist from the chart. Under bodycon, resist going down a band; between sizes, the larger band keeps the edges soft for all-evening wear.

Will the thong bodysuit show a line under a bodycon dress?
No visible panty line: the thong back has none to show, and the top edges are bonded so they lie flat under fitted fabric. The line a bodycon dress usually shows is a brief's leg edge, which the thong does not have.
Can I wear the mid-thigh under a bodycon dress?
Only if the skirt is looser below the hip than a true bodycon. Against a knit fitted through the thigh, the mid-thigh's leg hems can print as a line across the leg. The thong does not.
Do I need my own bra under a bodycon dress?
Not usually. The built-in bra has no compression on the bust, so the shape is your own. If the dress wants more lift, wear your own bra under the bodysuit and check that its straps sit under the bodysuit's straps.
