Can you eat in shapewear?Yes, in medium-firm and in the right size. The NULAYER bodysuit is built to be comfortable to sit and eat in. If a meal hurts, it is the size or the compression level, not you.
Can you pee in a shapewear bodysuit?Yes, if the bodysuit opens at the crotch. NULAYER's has a hook-and-eye closure there, the same hooks as a bra band, so you unhook, go, and hook it back without pulling the bodysuit down or undressing.
Can you wear your own bra with a shapewear bodysuit?Yes. The built-in bra has no compression on the bust, so your own bra goes underneath, its straps under the bodysuit straps. Wear one for more support than the built-in bra gives. A strapless dress is a different question.
Does NULAYER run small? Sizing and between sizesNo. NULAYER is true to size for most wearers, measured by bust and waist on the chart. The exceptions are the edges: at the top of a band go one up, and a long torso often means going up.
How long can you wear shapewear in a day?All evening, or a full day, in medium-firm and in the right size. Ours has breathable mesh panels and a hook-and-eye crotch closure for the bathroom. If anything hurts or goes numb, take it off.
How tight should shapewear be?Snug, not painful. You should breathe all the way in, sit and eat a meal. Medium-firm smooths the waist and midsection without squeezing. Pinching, or straps that pull at their longest, means too small; a drifting panel means too large.
How to put on a shapewear bodysuitStep in from the bottom, pull it up to the waist, hook the hook-and-eye crotch closure, straps over the shoulders, adjust for your torso. Do it standing. The first time takes longer; after that it is quick.
How to wash a shapewear bodysuitMachine wash cold and hang dry, as the care label says. Hook the crotch closure first so the hooks do not catch, and use a lingerie bag. No tumble dryer, no bleach, no iron: heat wears out a spandex knit.
Is shapewear see-through under a white dress?It depends on the shade, not the compression. Under white or ivory wear Beige, never Black. Beige is one light tone, so do a daylight mirror test at home; under a very sheer white, anything can shadow through.
Thong or mid-thigh: which bodysuit cut?Thong under anything that clings below the hip: satin, bodycon, jersey. Mid-thigh when the dress falls loose from the hip and you want the upper thigh smoothed, or under jeans and trousers. Same top half, same closure, same price.
