Shade first, then edges
White and ivory fabrics are not always sheer, but they are pale, and pale fabric shows whatever sits behind it as a darker shape. That is why a black bra shows under a white shirt and a skin-toned one mostly does not. The same rule applies to a bodysuit: the closer its shade is to your skin, the less there is to see. Under white, Beige is the only choice from our two shades. Black is for black, navy and deep colours.
Once the shade is right, edges are the second thing white shows. A stitched hem or a waistband stands up as a ridge and the dress lies over it. The NULAYER bodysuit's edges are bonded rather than stitched, so they lie flat under fitted clothes. The thong back has no line across the seat, which matters under white more than under anything else, because a seat line under a white dress is the thing everyone notices.
The honest limits
Beige is one light beige. It is close on some skin tones and a shade off on others, and a deeper shade is planned but not on sale yet. A shade lighter or darker than your skin can show faintly under a thin white, even with the flat edges. Under a very sheer white, a chiffon or a thin cotton with no lining, any garment can shadow through, including this one.
The fix is not compression. A firmer garment does not become more invisible; it usually adds harder edges. If the shade is wrong for you under your dress, a slip between the bodysuit and the dress, or a lined dress, does more than any change of size.
The daylight mirror test
Put the dress on over the bodysuit at home, in daylight, near a window. Turn slowly, and look at the back and the sides, not just the front. Then take a photo with the flash on, because a camera flash finds what a mirror misses. If the top edge shows, lengthen the straps. If a leg edge or a seat line shows, you are in the wrong cut. If a faint shape shows and the edges are fine, that is shade, and a slip is the answer.
Which size: Size by bust and waist from the chart; under white do not go down a band for extra smoothing, because a too-small bodysuit makes edge lines that a light dress will show.

Will the hook-and-eye crotch closure show under a white dress?
Not in normal wear. It sits at the crotch under the front panel and lies flat like a bra band closure. Under a very sheer, unlined white, check it in the daylight mirror test like every other edge.
Does the mid-thigh cut show under a white dress?
It can, at the leg hems, if the dress clings at mid-thigh. Under a fitted white dress wear the thong. Under a white skirt that falls loose from the hip, the mid-thigh is fine.
