L–XL covers US 12 to 14: bust 39 to 41 inches (99 to 104 cm), waist 31.5 to 34.5 inches (80 to 88 cm). It smooths the midsection and waist at medium-firm, holds the waist panel up with fully adjustable straps so it does not roll, and shapes the bust with a built-in bra that puts no compression on it. The thong cut leaves no visible panty line; the mid-thigh covers the upper thigh under a fitted skirt or dress. Both open at the hook-and-eye crotch closure without taking the bodysuit off.
It is also the narrowest band on the chart: two inches of bust and three of waist, against four and a half each for S–M and six and a half each for 2XL–3XL. More wearers land at an edge of L–XL than in the middle of it, which is why this page is mostly about the edges.
At the top of a band, go one up for comfort. For L–XL that means bust 41 or waist 34.5 sends you to 2XL–3XL. The reason is what a band too small does over an evening: it pulls at the crotch closure, the straps run out of adjustment, and the bonded edges stop lying flat and start showing as lines. Medium-firm at the right size smooths more than a smaller band ever will.
Our listing model is the working example. She is 5'7", 170 lb, bust 38.9, waist 31.1, at the top of S–M by the chart, and she wears L–XL. Apply the same logic one row down: if you sit at the top of L–XL, wear 2XL–3XL. At the bottom of L–XL, bust 39 or waist 31.5, you are comfortably inside the band and it is the right pick. Put it on, hook the closure, set the straps; if at their longest they still pull, the size is too small, not the straps.
If your bust is in L–XL and your waist in 2XL–3XL, or the other way round, choose 2XL–3XL for all-evening comfort and L–XL for maximum smoothing. The same rule applies on the S–M side. If you are unsure, run the Fit Finder: if the size it picks is wrong, we replace it free, on top of Amazon's free 30-day returns.
Each cut and shade in L–XL is its own Amazon listing. Thong in Black: B0GKX5KKM6. Thong in Beige: B0GKWTY18Y. Mid-thigh in Black: B0GKWTFJDM. Mid-thigh in Beige: B0GKWLSN2Y. Search the code on Amazon or use the button below and choose the size on the page.

Which size: This page is the L–XL row of the chart. Bust 39–41 in and waist 31.5–34.5 in; at the top of either range take 2XL–3XL, and if one measure falls in S–M or 2XL–3XL, choose by the smoothing or comfort rule.
| Band | US | Bust (in) | Waist (in) |
|---|---|---|---|
| L–XL | 12–14 | 39–41 | 31.5–34.5 |
True to size for most wearers.
Between sizes: the smaller band for maximum smoothing, the larger for all-evening comfort.
By the chart, yes: L–XL covers US 12 to 14. Confirm with a tape: bust 39 to 41 and waist 31.5 to 34.5 inches. The band is narrow, so a measure at either edge decides between L–XL and its neighbours.
Both sit at the top of L–XL. Go up to 2XL–3XL for comfort; that is the rule our listing model follows when she wears L–XL at the top of S–M. L–XL would smooth harder at the cost of comfort over an evening.
Yes. Both cuts, both shades. The mid-thigh in Beige is B0GKWLSN2Y; the thong in Beige is B0GKWTY18Y. Beige is a light beige; a deeper shade is planned.
