Shapewear with no visible panty line

Yes. A panty line is an edge pressing through fabric. The thong has no edge across the seat, and the bodysuit's edges are bonded, not stitched, so they lie flat. Match the shade to the dress and set the straps.
CutThong under anything fitted below the hip. The mid-thigh has a leg edge; it is bonded and flat, but under thin fabric an edge is still an edge, so keep it for trousers, loose skirts and lined dresses.ShadeBlack under dark fabric, Beige under light. A line you cannot feel can still show as a colour change under thin white, so check Beige in daylight under anything pale.StrapsA strap edge at the shoulder is a panty line's cousin. Lay the straps flat under the dress's straps or sleeves, and set them so the deep V sits under the neckline.Don'tDon't layer underwear under the bodysuit. The bodysuit is the underwear layer, and a second garment puts back exactly the edge you were trying to remove.

What a panty line actually is

A visible panty line is not underwear showing; it is an edge showing. The elastic at a leg opening, the seam across a seat, the band at a waist: each presses a ridge into the fabric over it, and a fitted dress in jersey, satin or a thin knit prints that ridge for everyone to see. Remove the edges and the line goes with them.

That is how the NULAYER bodysuit approaches it. The thong cut has no edge across the seat at all. The edges it does have, at the hip and the straps, are bonded rather than stitched, so they lie flat instead of standing up as a ridge. And because the bodysuit is held by its straps, there is no waistband; the medium-firm panel smooths the midsection and waist without a band to print.

Where a line could come from on a bodysuit, and where it cannot

Four places on a bodysuit could in principle print through a dress: the leg openings, the waist, the straps and the closure. The thong's leg openings are bonded and sit at the hip, where a fitted dress is usually lined or loosest; there is no waistband; the straps lie flat under the dress's own straps or sleeves; and the hook-and-eye crotch closure sits at the crotch, under you, not across the seat or the thigh.

The mid-thigh cut adds one more edge, the leg hem on the thigh. It is bonded and flat, and under trousers, a loose skirt or a lined dress it shows nothing. Under thin jersey or satin that clings to the thigh, any edge can print faintly, which is why the thong is the cut for those fabrics and the mid-thigh is the cut for the others.

Satin, jersey, and white

Three fabrics show lines that nothing else does. Satin shows an edge as a change in sheen; thin jersey shows it as a ridge; white shows it as a shadow. Under satin and jersey, the thong's bonded edges are the answer. Under white, cream or pale pink, the answer is also shade: Beige, because Black shows as a shape even when no edge shows as a line.

Our Beige is a light beige, so under a very sheer white, look in daylight before the day; a sheer enough fabric can shadow anything. Sit in the dress once at home, stand, and check the seat and the waist in a mirror. That minute is the test, and it is the same minute whether the dress is satin, jersey or white.

Which size: Size by bust and waist from the chart. A band that is too small presses harder and prints more, so if you are between sizes take the larger band; the bonded edges do the rest.

Questions people ask

Thong or mid-thigh for no line under jersey?

Thong. Jersey clings to the thigh and shows any edge there, including a flat one. The mid-thigh is for trousers, loose skirts and lined dresses, where its leg hem is hidden.

Does the hook-and-eye closure show as a line?

No. It sits at the crotch, under you, not across the seat or the thigh where a fitted dress prints edges, and the edges around it are bonded and flat.

Can I wear underwear under the bodysuit?

You can, but you put the edge back. The bodysuit is designed as the underwear layer, and the hook-and-eye crotch closure means the bathroom step works without a separate brief.
